However, innovating does not necessarily mean breaking down all the walls and creating a play space; the design of an office must take into account the needs and details of each work separately. Of course, for each function, there are better and worse ways to organize the spaces, and some configurations work better for certain activities. The important thing is that the place allows interactions while providing places for concentration and focus. |

EQUITONE has recently launched the new [natura] color N164 from the Natura Collection, a white panel inspired by nature's soft, elegant colour palette, and perfectly matched to EQUITONE's subtle and authentic fibre cement shades. The finished panel is both weatherproof and UV-stable. Rainscreen facades constructed with EQUITONE are thin and lightweight, yet extremely durable, causing minimum depletion of energy and raw materials.
It is easy to look at educational buildings as being basic, lacking the creative touch progressive architects can bring to them. The Sodus High School Project is a great example of creativity and progressive design; here The SEI Design Group designed a creative canopy and decorative roof structure which has become the “crown jewel” of projects in the area. As architect Gian-Paul Piane puts it: “The Max Compact Exterior panels helped us transform what was an uninviting and deteriorating school entrance into a highly modern canopy that not only enhanced the exterior aesthetics, but also maximised natural daylight and improved the interior environment.”
Weathering steel, corten, and rusted steel are all generalized names attributed to an alloy frequently seen in sculptural art, and more recently in premium design due to its warm, rich textural surface and tones. The challenge of using true rust in architecture is typically attributed to one of three issues - oxidation, weight, and changes in color and texture on the surface. Using their signature design process, they have created a series of metals that reflect the heritage and colors appreciated in the material without the performance and design concerns. Some of their recent works including these “rust” finishes are Moxy Chelsea, Long Beach Exchange, Union Denver, and Littleton Mixed Use. |
