In case of fire, protecting the lives of people is the most important. All occupants of the building should have the opportunity to evacuate on time, so in order to facilitate and optimize this process, the European Union has adopted the Standard EN 13501, introduced in the 2000s, which specifies a series of classes that determines the anti-fire properties of different materials. Their classifications are unified and compared based on the same test methods, and are currently used as a reference in many countries around the world. |

Soft Cells acoustic panels have been used in the ceiling at Under, an iconic under-sea restaurant designed by Snøhetta architects. A customized solution was developed consisting of different shapes, both concave and regular Soft Cells panels, upholstered in the multicolored custom textile Under. As you ‘go under’ into the dining area the ceiling contributes to an immersive experience. The acoustic environment steadily becomes crisper and stiller, while the colors melt from light reds to dark greens and blues, referencing the colors of a sunset dropping into the ocean. | |
