With rising sea levels and incessant consumption of plastic, the state of the earth's oceans is rapidly deteriorating. For the renovation of New Haven’s Canal Dock Boathouse, architects used insulated metal panels to create a modern, energy-efficient building while incorporating aesthetics of its historic roots. The new building honors the rich history of the old building by incorporating elements salvaged from the former boathouse, creating a perfect mix of modern technology with antique inspirations.
Leader in panel mounting systems, Fastmount, has launched its new panel restraint, Seismount, for ceiling and wall panels in high volume marine and architectural applications. The Seismount panel restraint is an extension of the Fastmount PanelSafe range, which provides added security and control to removable ceiling and wall panels.
